LETTER: Don’t ignore lessons of history

We’ve heard it before: “peace in our time.” And we’ve also heard the words of those who got it right, like Winston Churchill, who famously said, “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last.” Sure, the deal with Germany in 1938 is not an equivalent to the recent P5+1 deal signed with Iran, but many of the principles are the same and history has given us a lesson on how to handle them.
